Crucible

Inspired to do a play that was part of school’s English Department, I choose Arthur Miller’s classic, The Crucible.

Design Concept: I created a simple unit set that had planks lining two ramps to a platform that was flank by two leafless trees. The warm tones of the wood contrasted with the black of the puritanical costumes. Only using some basic benches, stool and table, the stark set created a beautiful back drop for this intense drama.
